When it comes to landscaping, tipping is not always expected. However, it is always appreciated when people show their appreciation for the hard work of landscapers with snacks, drinks, or other small tokens of gratitude. For example, my husband is a landscape designer and once he had a job in an area where the temperature was 118 degrees. The workers ran out of water and my husband asked the owner of the house for help.
Instead of taking the time to buy more water, the owner came out and handed each worker a bottle. My husband still had to buy a cover because one bottle doesn't go very far in such extreme temperatures. Landscapers are always thankful for anything they receive from their clients, even if the client isn't doing the physical work themselves. A good review is often enough to show your appreciation for their hard work.
If you feel like you want to do more, however, tipping your landscaper is a great way to show your gratitude. It's a small gesture that can make a big difference in someone's day.
