How to Get Healed and Stay Healed!

God is an awesome God, and one of the awesome things He still does is heal the sick and hurting today, be it physically, mentally or emotionally. Throughout the Bible, in both Old and New Testaments, we see examples of God healing people.
We see multiple examples in the New Testament of Jesus performing miracles and healings, as well as His followers being sent out to do the same thing. He said we would do greater works than He did. There are some today that are not aware that they can be healed. There are some today who believe that God does not heal, and that it stopped in Bible days in the New Testament.
However, since there is no dividing line between the New Testament and today, we are still the New Testament church. Jesus commanded His followers to go out in the world to preach the gospel to all nations, which includes healing, and this command is still in effect today.
Hebrews 13:8 states that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He never changes. Since this is true, He is still in the healing business today. Healing is part of what the Lord secured for all when He died on the cross and we have a right to it. It is not His will for anyone to be sick or incapacitated. It is not His will for anyone to continue throughout their life hurting in anyway, being in torment, or addicted to anything. He came to give us abundant life. The Miriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines the word abundant as: 1) marked by great plenty.
There are several different methods that the Lord uses to bring healing. We see this in the New Testament. He also created our bodies with the natural ability to heal itself. He also works through medical professionals. Our healing can be instant, and it can occur gradually, as we notice our condition improving. He can heal through dreams and any other means since He is God and is not limited.
One method He does NOT use is psychic healers. This is occult in nature, and God forbids all involvement with the occult in Leviticus 19:31. It is dangerous and opens an individual to the demonic. The devil is not a creator, and can only counterfeit what God is doing. He has only one objective in mind, and that is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). The rest of that scripture states that Jesus has come to give life, and life more abundantly. We can go to God with our needs, and He is more than able to heal any situation.
